How Can We Help?

How do I know what cPP I should use for evaluating my product?

Today, the cPPs that are available are fairly category-specific, and not so easy to apply outside the defined category. If your product does not seem to fit easily into any of the current cPPs, there are still a few options for an evaluation.

  • Reach out to the iTC that seems closest to your product category and discuss the applicability of the cPP to your product. This may take time, especially if the cPP is close to your product but enough off to make a match difficult so it requires an update from the iTC. In this case a new cPP could be created for you, but it may take a period of time before it is available.
  • Consider an EAL2 evaluation to a vendor/lab-defined set of requirements. This type of evaluation provides flexibility to the vendor to choose an appropriate set of requirements for the product even when there are no cPPs available.
  • If there are other vendors in your product category that also have interest in being evaluated, consider starting a new iTC and create your own cPP (this will likely take several years to complete)
